Gary was an active and
accomplished New Jersey
wreck diver for many years. He died on
November 29, 2006 while doing a bottle hunting dive in the Shrewsbury River
next to the Atlantic Highlands bridge. Gary was known for his
great sense of humor and accomplished diving skills, which included artifact
hunting and restoration, spearfishing, bottle hunting, etc. He loved the sport of scuba diving and was
always willing to share his stories and to help other scuba divers.
His first recovered porthole was off the Mohawk.
